McLaren F1
The F1 set new standards for the 1990’s. It has a superbly styled and aerodynamically effective body, built with high-tech materials and a compact and a mighty 625 bhp, BMW V-12 driving a six-speed transaxle.

The F1’s power-to-weight ratio gives it phenomenal acceleration - it can achieve 0 - 200 mph in a little under 28 seconds! The F1 secured the first victory for McLaren in the 1995 classic Le Mans 24-hour Race. The actual road version has in fact a higher top speed than the Le Mans winning car, but the LM model quicker acceleration.

Bugatti EB 110
Bugatti have a long history of producing motorcars, Ettore Bugatti set up his factory in 1909 in Molsheim Italy. From the birth of the company to the present day the Bugatti name has been synonymous for building exotic fast cars.

Bugatti EB 110The EB 110 is no exception, launched in 1993 with an all aluminium body and a carbon fibre chassis and a 3.5-litre 60 valve V-12 engine this car was truly “exotic” - Transmission was provided to all four wheels through a 6-speed gearbox.

Jaguar XJ220
The XJ220 was launched in 1994, but a prototype had been seen at the Birmingham Motor Show of 1988. The car soon had a flock of eager buyers originally 200 would be built.

Jaguar XJ220Jaguar quickly revised this figure, eventually 355 would be built with a price tag of £295,000 each. When the XJ220 was conceived Jaguar claimed it would have a top speed of 203mph and 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds. In its final form it has realized 218 mph and 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

Ferrari F40

Ferrari F40The design of the F40 marked 40 years of Ferrari cars; during the production run (1988-92) this super car was the world’s fastest road car. Fast cars and stunningly beautiful to look at, are of course Ferrari trademarks, the F40 is surely the best in the world even today.

Engine, Twin turbo V-8 2936cc, 480bhp - Top speed 199 mph, 0-60 mph 4.0 seconds
