It's an economical cyclecar, building on the ideas developed in the pre-War Baby. 1920 First appearance of a Peugeot car with a valveless 6 cylinder engine - the 25 hp Type 156. 1921 Production of the Quadrilette and the Type 153 starts at Beaulieu. 1923 Brakes on all four wheels are available on all Peugeot cars, as standard or as an option. For the first time, Peugeot produces over 10,000 vehicles in a single year.
1925 André Boillot wins the Targa Florio in a valveless Peugeot. The 100,000th motor car leaves the Peugeot factories and 20,000 Peugeot vehicles are built in the course of the year. 1926 Société des automobiles et des cycles Peugeot is split into two separate entities: Automobiles Peugeot and Cycles Peugeot.
