Les Fils de Peugeot frères, makers of the small Lion cars, finally merge with their Uncle Armand.

Armand Peugeot1914 automobiles et cycles Peugeot employs 2500 workers and produces 10,000 cars and 80,000 bicycles per year in its factories in Audincourt, Beaulieu, Lille and Valentigney.

1915 Armand Peugeot, the founder of the automobile division, dies in August 1915.

1916 In May, a further Peugeot victory in the Indianapolis 500, this time with Dario Resta at the wheel of an L 45. Robert Peugeot buys additional land at Sochaux-Montbéliard.

1918 Construction of the ironworks in Sochaux.

1914-18 conflict, the Lille factory is occupied while the other factories participate in the war effort. They will supply 1000 motorcycles, 63,000 bicycles, 3,000 cars, 6,000 trucks, 1,400 tank engines, 10,000 airplane engines and 6 million bombs and shells. Bulletin des Usines, the first company newspaper in France is set up. Later, it will be renamed Le Courrier des usines, then on Vite et loin, followed by Peugeot Magazine in 1981 and finally Planète Groupe in 1998.
